A little about me

Hi, I'm Rushil.

I spend a little too much time thinking about how to live and work well. Phron is where I put some of that thinking into words.

I write about lessons from building, tennis, health, leadership, and the ordinary work of becoming a better person. Most of them are things I wish I had understood a little earlier.

Why I write

A public notebook for what I'm still learning.

There is more information than any of us can use. I started Phron to slow down and write through the lessons that have actually helped me: the ones learned through mistakes, repetition, and the occasional moment of clarity.

I share them in case they make someone else's path a little clearer.

Why I started Phron
The principles I return to

My mission is to live with integrity, reach my potential, and empower the strengths and beauty in the universe.

How I wrote my mission statement

The five roles I try to keep in view:

Scholar
I learn something new every day.
Athlete
I explore the potential of my body.
Son & brother
I am there for my family.
Human
I uplift others and share in the experience of being human.
Artist
I love and look for beauty in everything.

What keeps me curious and present.

Tennis

Tennis has been a huge part of my journey. It shaped who I am and gave me my first real language for growth. I'm especially proud to have been the Centennial Conference's first two-time Scholar-Athlete of the Year. The recognition means a lot because it reflects the effort I tried to bring to every part of my life.

Travel

I like to travel and explore the world. I may not remember every place name, but I remember the feeling of being somewhere unfamiliar. I usually bring my Fujifilm X100V and make photographs along the way.

Outdoor adventures

Almost any outdoor activity gives me energy. The mix of movement, adrenaline, and attention pulls me into the moment and reminds me how beautifully complex the world is.

A thoughtful note, when it’s ready.

What I’m learning, sent along when there’s something worth sharing.

No schedule, no noise. Just a thoughtful note.
